The new EEPLIANT3 project has been kick-started
The largest EU-funded pan-European market surveillance action on product efficiency to date, bringing in more energy savings, more product compliance, more impacts to the benefit of the European consumer
The largest concerted Market Surveillance Action on EU product efficiency legislation ever funded by the European Union (EU) - EEPLIANT3 - has been officially launched with a conference held on 19 June 2019 in Brussels, at PROSAFE.
29 partners from 20 EU Member States and Turkey joined forces to cooperate in EEPLIANT3, the EU-funded sequel of the EEPLIANT1 and EEPLIANT2 projects. It aims at improving the implementation of EU energy labelling and ecodesign regulations and the operation of the EU Single market by identifying free-riding non-compliant products to the benefit of the European consumer and law-abiding manufacturers. The project will cooperate closely with the two Administrative Cooperation Groups (ADCO) on energy labelling and ecodesign, with each project Activity (Work Package) being led by a Market Surveillance Authority (MSA) and coordinated by one of three facilitating organisations: PROSAFE, Austrian Energy Agency and vores bureau.
