Latest news from EEPLIANT...

Starting one year ago, the EEPLIANT project is now fully in the progress of selecting laboratories and products for compliance verification testing. Here is a brief update on the recent activities for individual product groups covered by the EEPLIANT project:

• LEDs: Screening tests of 117 LED models from the EU market undertaken, full scale testing continues in two laboratories for full results. More info here.
• Space and combination heaters: Two laboratories shortlisted for testing, followed by an expert on-site visit in the laboratories applying for the project’s call for tender. More information here.
• Imaging equipment: Models for testing within the Voluntary Agreement have been selected, a tender for laboratory is currently ongoing, with applications due by 16 May. More info here.

In addition, the participating market surveillance authorities have shared their experience, best practice and technical knowledge on individual product categories, as well as individual legal requirements for information to be provided by the suppliers. Any EU surveillance authorities are invited to cooperate.
A number of meetings, both within the surveillance authorities, and the professional stakeholder community are planned, so check the project website for more information on future events.
