EEPLIANT2 presented at the Going Green – CARE INNOVATION 2018 Conference in Austria
PROSAFE made a successful application to present the EEPLIANT2 project funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Programme at the Going Green – CARE INNOVATION 2018 conference and exhibition on Electronics and the Environment in Vienna, Austria.
The presentation was prepared by Ioana Sandu, Executive Director of PROSAFE in cooperation with Franz Zach from the Austrian Energy Agency (AEA). The presentation was given by Franz Zach between 14:00 and 16:00 on 29 November 2018 at the Schoenbrunn Palace Conference Centre Vienna. The conference is targeting representatives from the business sector, engineers and environmental experts, suppliers, recycling and chemical industry as well as research organisations and public authorities from all around the world.
The topic being addressed is ”EEPLIANT2 – Overview of Market Surveillance Efforts to Ensure Product Compliance with the EU energy Efficiency Requirements”. Franz Zach summarised the test results of the previous EEPLIANT1 project, coordinated by PROSAFE, inspecting LED lamps, space heathers, combination heaters and printers. He then outlined the EEPLIANT2 project activities focussing on market surveillance of household and professional refrigerating appliances and network standby, resulting in increase of compliance rates with the energy efficiency requirements.
