The Association of Producers of Household Appliances Bulgaria (CECED Bulgaria) held a roundtable on improvement of the quality of life and sustainable development through innovations and energy efficiency of household electrical appliances on the 17th of October 2017 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The meeting was held under the patronage of the Minister of Economy. Representatives of companies producing and importing household appliances, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and the Consumer Protection Commission as well as representatives of Directorate General "Market Surveillance" of the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance (SAMTS) attended the meeting. The meeting was also attended by representatives of employers’ associations and trade associations.
The key objectives of the event were to present the household electrical appliances’ sector in Bulgaria, its place among the other European countries as an economic growth motor and its contribution for achieving high energy and resource efficiency as well as to highlight the importance of partnership between institution and business for placing on the market products compliant to the safety and energy efficiency requirements as being a key factor for the consumer protection.
